Rahinnane Castle, Kerry
Quiet ruins, wide views, and timeless vows.
Why We Love Rahinnane Castle
Rahinnane Castle is a hidden gem perched high on the Dingle Peninsula — wild, weathered, and full of quiet character. This 15th-century ruin overlooks rolling green fields and open sky, and feels like a place time forgot (in the best way).
What makes it special isn’t just the view — it’s the peacefulness. There are no crowds, no chaos, just stone walls, sea air, and a wide-open space to make your own. Couples love it because it’s personal and grounded, but still feels like stepping into a storybook.
The surrounding land can be privately hired, with space for up to 40 guests, making it a great option for intimate groups who want something historic, beautiful, and slightly off the beaten path. There’s private parking, a venue fee (which we manage), and plenty of nearby pubs perfect for celebrating after.
While there’s not a built-in backup location on site, we help plan alternative options in advance — just in case Irish weather decides to keep things interesting.

Pro Tips from the Ladybird Team
Bring layers — it’s exposed and the breeze is constant
Best for boots, not heels — paths are grassy and uneven
Add florals or soft textures for contrast against the stone
After your vows? Head to a nearby pub to warm up and celebrate
