We met in Atlanta, Georgia - at a bar on the Beltline called Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall. One pint led to another, and before we knew it, we were planning our wedding.
Like a lot of couples, we initially planned to have our wedding in the States. But the more we explored that path, the more overwhelmed we felt. Laurence is from Ireland. Yasmeen is from Atlanta - and suddenly, the idea of an Irish wedding with wild cliffs, old stone churches, and pub-filled joy started calling to us.
So we planned our wedding 4,000 miles away on the west coast of Ireland. It was beautiful. It was chaotic. It was unforgettable. And it made us realize: there has to be an easier way.
Ladybird Ever After was born from that experience.
The story behind Ladybird
We met at a bar called Ladybird in Atlanta. Then we planned our own wedding in Ireland. That is how this company started.
We aren’t a faceless agency.
We’re a husband-and-wife team who personally handle every
detail.
Yasmeen
Yasmeen grew up in Atlanta with summers in Puerto Rico, and she’s bilingual in Spanish and English. Before Ladybird, she spent years in HR at Google, where she managed people programs and led the company’s Hispanic employee community, planning their events start to finish.
That same people-first instinct shows up in every wedding she plans. It’s why couples land in Ireland already relaxed: Yasmeen has quietly handled the details so all that’s left for you to do is show up and enjoy the day.
Laurence
Laurence is Irish by birth and an engineer by training. After moving to the US in 2017, he became a product manager at OneTrust, then one of America’s fastest-growing startups, before going on to lead AI product management at Coca-Cola.
He brings that same systems thinking to your wedding day: fewer moving parts, clearer decisions, and a planning process that runs smoothly even when you’re coordinating from 4,000 miles away.
